If you’re a business owner in Downtown Parker, joining the Downtown Business Alliance of Parker (DBA) is a great idea.  Here are the top 5 reasons to join:

#1 – We are the voice of Downtown Parker Businesses!  Shape our downtown area with your ideas and concerns.  We regularly attend Town Council meetings, bringing our members’ thoughts directly to the Town and gaining their approval for new changes.

#2 – Involvement in Downtown Parker (DTP) events throughout the year – Art Walks, DBA tables at various events such as Parker Days, Brewfest, etc… and learn how to better connect with existing events as well as help in creating new events that will gain exposure for your business. We are an official 501 C-6 and ready to fundraise for our Downtown Area!

#3 – Most importantly – help unify DTP!  Help us find ways to drive customer traffic to all areas of DTP! Get to know your neighboring businesses and feel more connected with DTP by lending your voice to determine what lies ahead.

 #4 – Social Media cross promotions – sharing posts from DBA members on the Downtown Parker Facebook page and helping market one another.

#5 – Marketing opportunities promoting Downtown – be featured on downtownparker.com and your events promoted in the Downtown Parker BEAT newsletter! We aim to drive traffic to Downtown and our members’ businesses.  DBA members will be showcased and highlighted!

While any denomination helps us get closer to our fundraising goals, please consider these options to gain additional marketing for the 2024 Christmas Parade or Annual Sponsorship

  • $500 = Level 1 Parade Specific Sponsor (Logo added to all Parade sponsor banners)
  • $1000 = Level 2 Parade Specific Sponsor (Logo added to sponsor banners and Entry in Parade or Holiday Market)
  • $1500 or more = Annual Sponsorship  (Logo on event banners; social media posts (2) per year; 10-minute speaking opportunity at DBA membership meeting)

“Since 2014, Shelli has been a commercial property manager, managing one of Downtown Parker’s largest mixed-use commercial buildings and another building across Mainstreet, which includes office and retail tenants. Shelli is the former President of the Downtown Business Alliance, a 501 C 6 organization in Parker, currently serves on the Board and heads the marketing committee. This group comprises over 60 independent business owners that meet monthly and focuses on stimulating and improving the DBA’s members exposure, marketing and overall business. Since managing the buildings in Downtown Parker, Shelli owned her own fundraising company working with restaurants and retailers and learned how important marketing is to make a retail area vibrant. She has taken that experience and applied it to her involvement in the Downtown Business Alliance. Shelli’s experience in commercial property management with retail/office tenants steered her into entering her new career in Commercial Real Estate in 2019. She hangs her license with a boutique firm Madison Commercial Properties and absolutely loves the connection property management and commercial real estate offers her.”

Kris also serves on the Board of the Downtown Business Alliance of Parker as Immediate Past Chair. Kris previously worked for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor and MetLife Securities as a Financial Planner. Kris began his career in financial services after experiencing firsthand what can happen if a family's best interests are not kept in mind. "Carrie has over 25 years of experience in leadership, branding, organizational growth, and cultural facility operations. As the Cultural Director for the Town of Parker, Carrie is responsible for the leadership and strategic oversight of the diverse cultural programs offered in the Town of Parker’s facilities. Carrie holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Advertising from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Denver. She was a 2017 graduate of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, and is a current Board Member of Parker’s Downtown Business Alliance. In her free time, Carrie enjoys spending time outdoors with her 16-year old daughter and two dogs.”
